Sherri Dodson, BC-HIS Nationally Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences

North Platte and the surrounding area have always been home to Sherri and her family. She chose to use the word family in the name of her business because family is so important to her. She is proudly married to Bruce Dodson and they were blessed to have four children. Both Sherri and Bruce recognized how important hearing was to relationships. After realizing how much benefit Sherri received from wearing hearing aids, they decided to reach out to others and started Family Hearing Specialists, LLC. Sherri grew up surrounded by the hearing impaired, being born into a family with hereditary hearing loss. She has worn hearing aids for over twenty years and has two children using hearing aids, making her uniquely qualified to understand her clients’ hearing needs. She formed Family Hearing Specialists, LLC in 1998 as a home based business and it has grown into a front street office. Her goal is to treat each client with dignity, respect, compassion, and a little good humor. Hearing loss is not just a limitation for the person with the loss; it is also a limitation for their loved ones. Sherri’s life has been blessed because quality hearing aids have allowed her to continue to work in a field where she can help others enjoy the sounds of life. Sherri is a member of the Nebraska Hearing Society, where she has served in various positions on the board as well as president in 2006 and 2007. She is also member of the International Hearing Society. Sherri enjoys attending continuing education classes, improving her knowledge and allowing her to offer her clients the best hearing solutions available.  Sherri looks forward each day to the challenge of “Helping U Hear”!
